Dave Anderson Group

The Dave Anderson Group was a jazz/fusion ensemble led by Dave from 1998-2016 that featured Thierry Arpino (dms), Rob Aries (kbd) and Ken Gioffre (sax), with Dave on four, five and six string basses. The group performed music by Don Grolnick, Weather Report, Steps Ahead, John Scofield, Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, and many others, as well as original material by Dave, Ken, and Rick Quintanal.

Other great musicians who were part of the group included Don Harris, Bill Bickford, John Arrucci, Joel Rosenblatt.

The members reconvened in the studio in 2018 under Ken Gioffre's direction to record Ken's CD Left Of Center.

Highlights of the band's regular appearances at the Red Door in Watertown CT included the "Remembering Michael Brecker" show and the "Electric Miles" concert featuring Don Harris and John Arrucci.

Dave brought the group back together in 2026 for his new Exploration Jazz project.
